Privacy policy
The short version
- If you use the contact form, I get what you type and use it to reply to you. That's it.
- I use privacy-friendly analytics (PostHog) to see which pages help people. You can turn it off below, and it's off automatically if your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.
- Cloudflare hosts the site and blocks bots and spam.
- I don't sell your information, share it for advertising, or run ad trackers.
- Questions or requests: hello@cybercreations.io.
Who I am
This website is run by Cyber Creations, a one-person tech consulting business in the Denver Metro Area. In this policy, “I” and “me” mean Cyber Creations. You can reach me at hello@cybercreations.io.
What I collect and why
When you use the contact form
The form asks for your email address and, if you choose, your name, your business name, what you'd like help with, and a message. I use it only to read your request and reply to you, and, if we end up working together, to keep a record of our conversation.
Your message is delivered to my business email account through Cloudflare's email service. It isn't stored in a database on this website.
To keep the site safe
To stop spam and abuse, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile. It checks signals from your browser and device to tell people from bots. Your IP address is used to verify that check and to limit how many messages can be sent in a short time. Like any website, Cloudflare also processes basic request information (such as IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time) to deliver pages and protect the site.
Analytics
If analytics is on, I use PostHog to understand how the site is used. It records:
- pages viewed, the page that referred you, and how long you stayed
- clicks on buttons and links, which sections you scrolled to, and where you clicked (heatmaps)
- page speed measurements and any errors the page hits
- your browser, device type and screen size
- your approximate location (city, region, country), worked out from your IP address
- that a contact form was sent, along with the topics you picked. It does notinclude your name, email or message.
This uses a random ID stored in your browser, not your name or email. I don't record your screen or what you type into the form. Analytics data passes through this site's own domain before going to PostHog.
Cookies and similar technologies
| Name | What it's for | How long |
|---|---|---|
ph_…_posthog (cookie and local storage) | Analytics: a random visitor ID and the current visit | Up to 1 year |
Other ph_… / __ph_… items | Analytics settings and your analytics on/off choice | Up to 1 year |
cc-analytics-opt-out (local storage) | Remembers that you turned analytics off | Until you clear it |
| Cloudflare Turnstile | Strictly necessary bot protection on the contact form | Short-lived |
None of these are used for advertising. Analytics items aren't set if analytics is off.
Who else handles your information
I use a few service providers. They process information on my behalf, not for their own advertising:
- Cloudflare: hosting, security, bot protection and email delivery (Cloudflare's privacy policy).
- PostHog: website analytics, stored in the United States (PostHog's privacy policy).
I don't sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. I'd only disclose it otherwise if the law requires it, or to protect the site or someone's safety.
Your choices
Checking your analytics setting…
- Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends either signal, analytics doesn't load at all.
- Browser settings: you can block or delete cookies and site data at any time. The site works fine without them.
- The contact form: it's optional. You can email me directly instead.
How long I keep it
- Inquiries: 2 years if they don't turn into a client relationship. If we work together, as long as needed for that work and my business records.
- Analytics: kept by PostHog for the retention period of my plan (up to 7 years).
- Site request logs: up to 7 days.
- Spam-protection checks: only for the moment they're needed.
Your rights
You can ask me to tell you what personal information I have about you, correct it, or delete it. Email hello@cybercreations.io from the address you used to contact me, so I can match the request to your information. I'll respond within 45 days. Depending on where you live (for example California, Colorado or the EU), you may have more rights, and I'll honor any that apply.
How I protect it
The site is served only over HTTPS and uses modern browser security protections, bot protection and rate limiting. I collect as little as I can and use established providers to handle it. No system is perfectly secure, but I take reasonable steps to keep your information safe.
Children
This site is for businesses and isn't directed at children under 13. I don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has sent me information, email me and I'll delete it.
Where your information is processed
I'm based in the United States, and my providers process information in the United States and in other countries where they operate.
Changes to this policy
If I change how the site handles information, I'll update this page and its effective date at the top. Significant changes will be noted here.
